New MGHS Scoreboard Part of District 279 Facilities Upgrade
A private/school district partnership will mean a new video scoreboard coming to Maple Grove High School Stadium this summer.
The Maple Grove Football Booster Club raised over $275,000 to augment District 279 funds to purchase a scoreboard with a large video screen.
Scoreboards at all three high schools will be replaced over the next couple of years along with turf replacement.
A District facilities audit started in the Fall of 2019 identified a list of suggested facility improvements at all three high schools.
Officials at Osseo and Park Center are prioritizing other items before their respective scoreboards.
Tennis courts will be replaced at Osseo while Park Center is scheduled for significant locker room improvements.
The video scoreboard at Maple Grove will also have a curriculum component to go along with it. Students will be trained and run the video
for home football, soccer and lacrosse games along with track and field meets.
Installation is expected to begin in July and be finished by August 15th.
