Maranatha girls basketball getting battle-tested
Maranatha Christian Academy is used to a lot of success in girls basketball, so a 7-3 start isn’t anything unusual. But a closer look at the losses shows that the Mustangs stayed with the No. 2-ranked team in Class AAAA, Wayzata, and the No. 2 team in AAA, Holy Angels. Maranatha moves up to Class AA this season and they are in a tough Section 5 field. The regular season tests should help the Mustangs get prepared for the playoffs.
