Maple Grove Wins Softball Opener - CCX Media

Maple Grove beat Hopkins 9-3 in softball Thursday in a matchup of two state tournament teams from last season.

The teams squeezed the game in on a new artificial turf field at Hopkins before the approaching weekend storm.

Ava Dueck doubled in the first two runs of the game for the Crimson and also pitched a complete game.
