Maple Grove skates to shutout win in girls hockey
Maple Grove has played very well in the second half of the regular season in girls hockey, and that continued in the opening game of section play.
The Crimson pulled away to beat Spring Lake Park 4-0 in the Section 5AA quarterfinals Saturday in Roseville. Maple Grove outshot Spring Lake Park 55-13.
Emily Herdine and McKayla Machlitt each had a goal and an assist in the win.
The Crimson, the No. 2 seed in the section, face No. 3-seed Blaine in the semifinals Tuesday evening at Roseville Arena.
