Maple Grove Skates Past Osseo in Boys Hockey Playoffs
Maple Grove and Osseo matched up to start the boys hockey playoffs Thursday night, knowing that one team’s season would end in the Section 5AA quarterfinals.
Maple Grove capitalized on an Osseo turnover to strike first as Tyler Kostelecky scored on a rebound.
Kostelecky added another goal on a shot from the right wing on a rush to make it 2-0 Crimson after one period.
They added a goal in the second period and one more in the third to secure a 4-0 win.
Maple Grove plays Blaine in the Section 5AA semifinals Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at the Ice Forum in Champlin.
