Maple Grove Legion Baseball Edges Armstrong
The Maple Grove Legion baseball team edged Westphal Armstrong 4-2 in North Hennepin play Wednesday.
Hayden Thomsen tripled and Jerry Gooley drove him in to start the scoring for Maple Grove in first inning.
Armstrong battled back to tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth.
Thomsen’s solo homerun gave Maple Grove the lead back for good in the sixth.
Thomsen was the winning pitcher and Gooley saved it for him.
