Maple Grove Girls Soccer Beats Elk River
The Maple Grove girls soccer team scored three times in less than five minutes in the second half to beat Elk River 3-1 Thursday night.
The Elks’ Leah Brown scored 6:20 into the match to give her team a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
Maple Grove tied the game when Kelley Kloncz scored on a rebound off of Quinn Omar’s shot.
Avery Toms then scored less than three minutes later on a header following a corner kick from Omar.
57 seconds later Sarah Nistler drilled a shot from 18 yards out for the Crimson’s third goal.
Maple Grove is now 6-0-1 in its last seven matches and finishes the season Tuesday at Andover.
