Maple Grove Girls Hockey Wins Tournament Opener
The Maple Grove girls hockey team won its holiday tournament opener Wednesday.
The Crimson beat Stillwater 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the Walser Invitational in Edina.
Maple Grove scored two times in the first period, on goals by Mannon McMahon and Chloe Corbin.
Corbin added a deflection goal in the second period to make it 3-0.
Maple Grove plays in the semifinals Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
