Maple Grove Girls Basketball Advances
The Maple Grove girls basketball team advanced in the Section 8AAAA tournament with a 50-35 win over Brainerd.
The Crimson built a six-point halftime lead before pulling away in the second half.
Jordyn Lamker scored 13 points, Kylie Baranick 12 and Abby Schulte 10 for the Crimson.
Maple Grove is the number two seed in the section.
They face third seed Elk River in the semifinals Saturday at St. Cloud State University.
