Maple Grove Edges Brainerd in Boys Basketball Playoffs
The Maple Grove boys basketball team got a scare, but they edged Brainerd 53-49 in the Section 8AAAA quarterfinals Tuesday night.
Many number one seed versus number eight games are mismatches, but this one was a battle all the way.
Brainerd led the top-seeded Crimson by two at halftime and it remained close throughout.
Nate Adams scored 22 to lead Maple Grove in scoring.
The Crimson will face St. Michael-Albertville in the semifinals Saturday morning at St. Cloud State University.
