Maple Grove Boys Hockey Wins Turkey Trot
The Maple Grove boys hockey team won the CCX Turkey Trot tournament in Plymouth.
The Crimson and Edina skated to a 3-3 tie before Maple Grove won a shootout 2-0.
Goalie Jack Wieneke stopped 37 shots for the Crimson.
Trevor Kukkonen, kyle Kukkonen, and Justin Janicke scored for Maple Grove.
The Kukkonen brothers each converted their chances in the shoot out.
It’s the second time Maple Grove has won the Turkey Trot; the last was in 2011.
