Maple Grove Boys Basketball Wins Section
The Maple Grove boys basketball team won the Section 8AAAA title Thursday night.
The Crimson beat Buffalo 77-64 in a rematch of last year’s section final.
Maple Grove had a superb first half offensively, building a 45-28 lead.
After Buffalo close the gap to seven a couple of times, free throws helped seal it for the Crimson.
Jared Rainey scored 23 points to lead Maple Grove.
It’s the fourth straight section championship for the Crimson.
