Lloyd Sullivan-“Voice of the Hawks”- Passes Away
Lloyd Sullivan, the long-time public address announcer at Cooper High School, has passed away at the age of 58.
Lloyd, known as the “Voice of the Hawks” had worked as the public address announcer for Cooper basketball and volleyball for over 30 years.
He also worked football and soccer at Cooper, and was the Crystal Frolics softball tournament for many years.
“It was like losing a family member”, said Cooper Activities Director John Oelfke. “Lloyd pretty much was Cooper.”
A celebration of life is being planned by his family. He is survived by four siblings.
