Late-Arriving Spring Hampers Spring Sports Schedule

Prep athletes, coaches and fans of spring high school sports were dealt a big blow locally with a record-breaking snowfall over the weekend. In a spring season already delayed by April snows, last weekend’s record-setting snowfall totals further hampers the schedule.

High school activities directors are working hard to re-schedule games, some of them indoors at domed facilities. Some games, matches and meets for the regular season will likely be trimmed for all sports as teams wait for the snow to melt to get outside not only for games, but even for practice.
