Larry the Axe Hennig Dies
Larry the Axe Hennig, a wrestling legend from Robbinsdale, has died at age 82.
Hennig was a state high school wrestling champion at the old Robbinsdale High School.
He went on to gain fame as a professional wrestler, around the midwest and beyond.
Hennig earned multiple titles solo and in tag-teams.
He is the father of the late pro wrestler Curt “Mr. Perfect” Hennig and grandson of current pro Curtis Axel.
