Lamker, Augsburg Football Team Waits for Spring Season
The Augsburg University football team, like many college teams, is looking forward to its delayed season.
Augsburg plays in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference which decided last summer to delay the 2020 Fall season until Spring 2021.
The Auggies are coached by Armstrong High School graduate Derrin Lamker who was an All-American at the school in the late 1990s.
Lamker coached at Armstrong, Osseo and Edina high schools before taking the Augsburg job late last December.
MIAC schools will play a four-game spring season beginning in late March with plans for a full schedule next fall.
Players will resume workouts on January 11th.
