Kelly Crandall Getting Started as New Maple Grove Girls Hockey Coach
Girls hockey teams aren’t on the ice just yet due to COVID-19, but Kelly Crandall is getting started as Maple Grove’s new head coach.
Crandall has been conducting virtual practice sessions and meetings with her new team for the past couple of weeks.
She was the head coach for Armstrong-Cooper last season, and has coached at several youth and premier levels.
Crandall played high school hockey for Armstrong and Wayzata.
She has coached some of the current Maple Grove players at various younger levels.
The start of on ice practices for the Crimson and all high school teams in Minnesota is set for January 4.
Maple Grove was fourth in the state class AA tournament last season.
