Hopkins’ Grad Natalie DenHartog Sets New Gophers Homerun Record
2018 Hopkins High School graduate Natalie DenHartog broke the University of Minnesota softball program’s career record for homeruns by hitting her 52nd all-time in the Gophers’ 10-3 win over Rutgers Sunday.
DenHartog’s homerun was the 13th this season for the senior outfielder.
The 52 homeruns breaks the career record of 51 held by Jordanne Nygren, set in 2003.
The two-time all-Big Ten player his hitting .379 this season for the Gophers.
DenHartog was an all-state shortstop her senior year at Hopkins.
