Hopkins Girls Basketball Set for Section Final
It may not be the opponent they expected to face, but the Hopkins girls basketball team is set for the Section 6AAAA championship game Thursday night.
The Royals meet Minneapolis South for the title after South upset Wayzata in the semifinals Saturday.
Hopkins split two regular season meetings with Lake Conference rival Wayzata and met the Trojans in last year’s section final.
The Royals have dominated late in the season and they know they’ll have to be ready for a hot South squad.
