Hopkins Blanks Elk River in Gopher Classic
The Hopkins American Legion baseball team shut out Elk River 8-0 in an opening round game of the Gopher Classic tournament.
The Flyers hit three homeruns in the game to support the pitching of Kyle Feduccia.
The Gopher Classic features 96 teams playing at 16 metro-area sites. The winners of each pool advance to the tournament playoffs on Monday.
