Hopkins Baseball Takes Thriller Over Champlin Park
In a great back and forth baseball battle Hopkins had the last word, beating Champlin Park 9-8.
Champlin Park grabbed an early 3-0 lead, only to see Hopkins surge in front 4-3.
The Rebels responded with two runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth to go up 7-4.
Hopkins scored three in the bottom of the fifth inning and it was tied again at 7-7.
After Champlin Park regained the lead, the Royals struck last as Joey Hurth’s 7th-inning base hit scored two runs for the 9-8 win.
