Epic Battle for Hopkins Softball
The Hopkins and Edina softball teams locked up in an epic battle Thursday.
Hopkins needed one win to claim the Section 6AAAA title, with Edina needing two wins.
The Hornets won game one 13-8 to force a second game.
The teams were tied 8-8 after eleven innings of game two when it was suspended due to darkness.
Update:
The Royals and Hornets finished the second game late Friday afternoon with Edina finally winning in 14 innings.
