Drip City Wins DukDuk Softball Final
The Drip City men’s softball team out of Des Moines, Iowa rallied to defeat Chanticlear Pizza of Brooklyn Park in the Upper Division final at the DukDuk Duel softball tournament in New Hope on Sunday.
Drip City came back from a 16-6 deficit to win the title game 21-19, scoring nine runs in the 3rd inning, four in the fourth and two more runs in the sixth. Chanticlear forced a second game in the final by winning 19-10 in the first game of the championship round.
The Upper Division Shootout Champions are Minnesota Militia who defeated the Swing Kingz. Gerster Jewelers beat M.C. Roofing in the Lower Divsion final and Reckless and Wild beat Happy Tails Rescue in the championship of the co-ed division.
The DukDuk Duel tournament, sponsored by the New Hope Lions Club, featured a record 62 teams in three divisions this year.
