Cosgriff Inducted Into Minnesota Basketball Hall of Fame
Seven state titles and 569 wins in 21 seasons have earned Hopkins High School head girls basketball coach Brian Cosgriff a spot in the Minnesota High School Basketball Hall of Fame.
A ceremony, canceled in April because of the COVID-19 pandemic, is scheduled for this fall. The Golden Valley High School and Macalester College graduate made coaching stops at Macalester, Armstrong and Breck high schools before coming to Hopkins.
He was assistant boys basketball coach under Ken Novak Jr. for nine seasons before taking over the girls’ program before the 1999-2000 season.
Hopkins carries a 62-game winning streak into the 2020-21 season.
