Cooper Girls Basketball Returns to State
The Cooper girls basketball team returns to the state tournament next week.
The Hawks won a thriller in the Section 6AAA final, edging Waconia 52-51.
Aja Wheeler scored with under 15 seconds left to give the Hawks the winning margin.
Wheeler scored 20 points in the game, with Andrea Tribble leading the way with 21 for Cooper.
Cooper is the defending state class AAA champion.
