Cooper Girls Basketball Rallies Past Jefferson
The Cooper girls basketball team rallied past Bloomington Jefferson to win a thriller 43-41.
The Hawks jumped out to a 15-4 lead in the first half, only to see Jefferson score the last twelve points of the half.
The Jaguars built their lead into double figures in the second half before Cooper rallied.
Andrea Tribble made the key play for Cooper, getting a steal at halfcourt and scoring on a layup for a 43-41 lead.
Jefferson got a chance at the free throw line to tie it, but after missing the first shot their plan had to change.
The second free throw was missed and the Jaguars got two putback tries but failed to convert.
