Cooper Boys Soccer Battles to Tie With Heritage Christian
The Cooper and Heritage Christian Academy boys soccer teams battled to a 2-2 tie in the season opener Thursday.
Maykel Lopez-Sibrian scored late in the first half to give Cooper a 1-0 halftime lead.
He added another on a beautiful shot into the top corner of the net midway through the second half to make it 2-0.
Heritage scored twice in the last six minutes though to earn the tie.
Cole Pitzner scored on a free kick with just over six minutes left.
Josh Sokeye tied it up with a goal with about 3 1/2 minutes to go.
