Coach Starks Ready for Hopkins Girls Basketball
Tara Starks was named the head coach for the Hopkins girls basketball team earlier this week and is ready for the challenge.
Starks coached in the Minneapolis North program for over a decade in the early 2000s and has coached AAU basketball for several years.
She replaces Brian Cosgriff who retired last month after 21 seasons as head coach.
Starks coached the Metro Stars 2022 team this summer which included seven Hopkins players. She’s had success coaching in both the North Tartan and Metro Stars programs.
Hopkins carries a 63-game winning streak into next season. Starks remains optimistic that there will be a high school season this winter.
