Champlin Park Scholarship Fund Honors Mike Witt
A new scholarship is being established at Champlin Park High School to honor the late Mike Witt. All fourteen of Mike and Diane Witt’s children graduated high school from Champlin Park. The Witt children all played at least one sport at the school and all played basketball in either the Rebels’ girls or boys programs.
Mike Witt died suddenly on June 2nd at the age of 67. The Witts’ youngest son, Dominic, graduated this month. In addition to his wife and children Mike is survived by 13 grandchildren and eight siblings.
As of June 15, over $ 19,000 has been raised for the scholarship fund, a portion of which will be given each year to a graduating Champlin Park senior.
