Breck Girls Soccer Upset by St. Paul Academy
The Breck girls soccer team was upset by St. Paul Academy Thursday night, losing 1-0 to the Spartans.
The defending IMAC Conference champion Mustangs had a number of scoring opportunities that they were unable to convert on.
Spartans’ goalie Lindsay Browne made several big saves, including two on penalty kicks, to preserve the win.
Andrea Gist converted on Madeline Fisher’s crossing pass midway through the second half for the only goal of the match.
The loss for Breck dropped the Mustangs’ record to 2-2-3. The victory was the first of the season for the Spartans (1-3-1).
