Blake tops Wayzata in section girls hockey
The Blake girls hockey team defeated Wayzata 4-2 Wednesday, eliminating the Trojans in the semifinals of the Section 6AA tournament. The Bears face Edina Friday night for the section title. Wayzata finishes the season with a 19-8-1 record.
Blake scored two goals in the second period to lead 2-0 but the Bears took two penalties early in the third period and Wayzata scored a pair of power play goals to tie the game.
Lily Delianedis scored the game-winning goal with 3:58 to play and the Bears also added an empty net goal.
