Benin Baseball Ties Crystal in Tournament Opener
The Benin baseball team visiting the Twin Cities tied Crystal 6-6 Thursday.
The game was in the opening round of the Robbinsdale Wood Bat tournament.
The tournament benefits the Baseball in Benin project.
Benin is a small African nation where baseball was almost unknown not long ago.
Benin had the lead for much of the game Thursday before Crystal rallied for four runs in the bottom of the fifth.
The game ended because the time limit had been reached.
