Benin Baseball Team Set for Wood Bat Tourney
The Benin baseball team is set for the Wood Bat Little League tournament in Robbinsdale and surrounding areas.
The team has come from the small West African nation to test their skills and learn about the game.
The tournament benefits the Baseball in Benin project, which helped introduce the game to kids there.
Equipment donations and funds for fields and more have helped spark interest in baseball in Benin.
The tournament runs Thursday evening through Sunday in Robbinsdale and a couple of other communities.
