The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys lacrosse team had its title hopes dashed Saturday.
The Red Knights fell to Prior Lake 10-8 in the state championship game in Chanhassen.
After a back-and-forth first quarter, Prior Lake took a 6-3 lead into halftime.
The Red Knights scored the only three goals of the third quarter to tie it 6-6.
After Benilde scored the first goal of the fourth to lead 7-6, Prior Lake made a decisive surge.
The Lakers scored the next three to take the lead for good.
