Armstrong Grad Alade Moving On After College Career Cut Short
Jubie Alade is back home in Plymouth after his senior basketball season at Saint John’s University was cut short by the COVID 19 pandemic.
Alade and his teammates were in the midst of a great season and gearing up to face the University of Saint Thomas in the Sweet 16 of the Division III national tournament when the rest of the season was canceled by the NCAA. Alade put together a great career with the Johnnies scoring 1,418 points, sixth best in school history.
After the remainder of the 2019-20 season was cancelled, Alade was selected to the D3hoops.com All-West Region first team, the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-West District first team, and named the MIAC Co-Player of the Year.
Alade is currently finishing his degree and is hoping to pursue opportunities to play professional basketball overseas. He is a 2016 Armstrong High School graduate.
