Armstrong-Cooper wins in dramatic fashion
Armstrong-Cooper is aiming to repeat as West Division champion in Northwest Suburban Conference boys hockey. The Wings took a big step toward that goal Thursday night.
The Wings took a 3-1 lead against previous conference leader Irondale, only to see the Knights battle back to tie the game and force overtime.
With 13 seconds left in overtime Eric Schneider scored to give Armstrong-Cooper a dramatic 4-3 win.
The victory improved the Wings’ record to 7-2-1 in West Division play, putting them one point ahead of Irondale.
