What are your qualifications for this office?
I have 13 years’ experience as an elected official who successfully managed money and the trust of the community, I am ready to do it again. I pledge to bring about the change needed in the District budget to prevent a state takeover, balance the budget and re-build public trust within our school district.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
1. Restore the District’s financial health,
2. Restore the community trust and bring back our students.
3. Retain our best asset, our teachers. We have a high rate of turnover of teachers. The recent budget approved a 15% increase in health insurance premiums paid for by the teachers. This does not seem like support, it seems like punishment. I will advocate to improve conditions for teachers and provide them with all the tools they need to educate our children.
