Plymouth’s Zachary Playfield Designed to “Wow”
Renovations at Zachary Playfield in Plymouth are finally complete. The community park offers 65 play features, including a merry-go-round and other spinning equipment. There are also three tall, winding slides. And sails at the top of shelters provide shade. Babies seem to love crawling around on the artificial turf. There’s something for everyone to enjoy at the play area.
“We always like to have the wow factor. So we want them to come in and go wow, where do I start? Where do I start playing on this? There’s so many fun looking things to try. So, we’re looking for kids to get outside. Parents to get outside and enjoy being outdoors,” explained Barb Northway, Plymouth’ sDeputy Director of Parks and Recreation.
The budget for the Zachary Playfield playground was $350,000. The project came in slightly under that number.
