Yellow Tree Theatre Offers Free Show ‘Lalo’s Lunchbox’ This Saturday
Yellowtree Theatre in Osseo is still closed due to the pandemic but remains active in other ways. This summer the Osseo venue put out a call to artists around the Twin Cities area asking for ideas for online programming.
“We were looking for virtual programming, things that were safe, that we could do because we just weren’t able to be here gathering in the theater,” said Peter Carlson, executive director of Yellowtree Theatre.
It led to ideas and a new, fun interactive show called “Lalo’s Lunchbox.”
Produced by Twin Cities actor Ed Jenkins, “Lalo’s Lunchbox” is aimed at young audiences. The show will be livestreamed on Yellowtree’s Facebook page.
“It’s going to be interactive. So its not just like the kids sit and watch something, but they will actually be able to answer questions and kind of choose the way that the program is going to move along,” said Carlson.
The program is free. The livestreamed show takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15.
