Wuollet Bakery Closes Robbinsdale Store, Plans Different Location
A long-time bakery closed its doors this weekend in Robbinsdale — but it may not be gone for good.
Wuollet Bakery’s last day of business was Sunday, April 13.
“We want to thank all of our loyal customers, especially those who live in this neighborhood, for your years of support and encouragement,” said a spokesperson for Wuollet. “The building has been sold. Our restructuring to reorganize for a better future includes making changes to some of our bakery retail locations, but it certainly does not mean we’re going out of business. Look for good things still to come from us!”
A customer told CCX News they would miss the neighborhood spot.
“We’ve been going there for years,” said customer Mark Welna. “I’d go over there for coffee, and my mom used to get sandwiches and soup there when they used to do that. But we will miss it.”
The bakery hopes to open another location in Robbinsdale in the near future.
This closure is Wuollet’s second of the year. The company still has two locations in Minneapolis and one in Anoka.
