Weekend Showcase: Twin Cities Harvest Festival and Maze
This year the Brooklyn Park corn maze and festival celebrates the Minnesota Timberwolves. The corn maze is over twenty acres, making it the largest in Minnesota.
The Twin Cities Harvest Festival and Corn Maze is nine years old this year.
“It is the fall and we want to celebrate the fall,” says Bert Bouwman, owner. “It looks like the sun is going to finally, finally reappear. We want to probably post a ransom for the sun because its been so long.”
Every year Bert carefully lays out a different theme for the corn maze. The past few years the maze has been sports related and Bert has been able to donate over a $150,000 to local charities. This year’s sports team theme? The Minnesota Timberwolves.
“This year they’re celebrating their 30th season,” says Bouwman. “So we thought it was fitting to have the Timberwolves. We are helping their foundation that they have, so we’re excited and we invite you to come by. You coming here, you will allow us to donate more to the community.”
At over twenty acres this is the largest corn maze in Minnesota, they offer a ton of things to do and all are family oriented.
