Weekend Showcase: Try Archery at Elm Creek Park Reserve
The Three Rivers Park District is offering an opportunity to learn a skill that dates back to ancient civilizations. It’s encouraging people to give archery a try at the Elm Creek Park Reserve.
Photojournalist Dustin Scholl met up with Julia Zyla, outdoor recreation specialist with the Three Rivers Park District, for a lesson.
The park district offers classes for beginners, families and people age 50-plus. Classes are offered now in the fall, as well as spring and summer camps.
The cost is $12 per person for classes or $7 if you have your own equipment.
