Weekend Showcase: Top Hat Theatre Performs “6 Feet Apart: A Socially-Distanced Cabaret” in Becker Park
If you’ve been hankering for a little live entertainment, you’re in luck. For the next two Friday nights, there will be at the performance stage in Becker Park.
“What people really love about theater is coming together and experiencing something live,” said Pamela Russell, owner of Top Hat Theatre.
Russell says the producers spent a lot of hours digging through public domain works of songs to create a cabaret.
“Because in a cabaret-style show, actors don’t have to touch each other or be in close proximity to each other to do a really nice production that’s enjoyable from both sides of it from onstage and off stage,” said Russell.

The show is called “6 feet apart: A Socially-Distanced Cabaret.”
“Its been a long time since I’ve been able to actually perform for a live audience,” said young professional actress Natalie Tran.
Tran jumped at a chance to get back on-stage.
“I’ve done some on-camera stuff. I did a film a couple weeks ago. And then I also did a commercial. But I haven’t done a play or anything in so long,” said Tran. “I’m really happy that I get this opportunity to finally do something for an audience.”
The show is about an hour long and is completely free. It starts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21 and Friday, August 28.
Pam told CCX News they’ll have a cow there to help with social distancing. You’ll just have to come to the show to find out what that’s about.
