Weekend Showcase: Robbin Gallery’s “March Madness”
In Robbinsdale, March Madness means more than basketball.
Every March, the warming temps and longer days conjure visions of melting snow, college basketball playoffs, and a special member driven show at the Robbin Gallery called “March Madness.”
The exhibit is the annual members show which features 21 artists and 42 pieces of work.
The variety of work is diverse from photography printed on metal to interesting sculpture. There are also various mediums and disciplines in painting.
“I think given the past 12 months people are eager for an inspiration of something. Some kind of like a little pick me up. I think people are really ready to have some kind of influence that takes them somewhere else. Even for a little while,” said Jeanne Johnson, Gallery Director at Robbin Gallery.
The Robbin Gallery is back to normal gallery hours for in-person viewing, but only ten people are allowed in the gallery at one time. The exhibit is free and runs until March 27.
