Warrant: Golden Valley Death Considered Potential Homicide
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 71-year-old man in Golden Valley.
In a search warrant, investigators described the death of Kurt Wiessner as “suspicious.”
According to the warrant, first responders found Wiessner deceased at a home in the 1400 block of Skyline Drive in Golden Valley on May 19.
Wiessner was found laying at the bottom of a set of stairs “with his pants partially pulled down to his ankles and his head tucked completely under him,” the warrant read.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy that found he “suffered internal decapitation and lacerations on various parts of his body.”
Investigators believe that Wiessner was house-sitting at the time of this death.
They also believe he had plans to meet with a sex worker for “dominatrix-style … activity” prior to his death.
The investigation also found that the home’s security system shows someone entering after investigators believe Wiessner had already died.
“We are investigating the death as a potential homicide, as is standard practice when there are no witnesses to the incident,” said a spokesperson for the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.
