Virtual Tour of Maple Grove Art Gallery’s “The Green Recycling Show”
You were locked out of the Green and Recycling Show at the Maple Grove Arts Center just a week after the exhibit opened.
Gallery manager Teri Iverson gave us a tour of the space.
“There 16 artists, 29 pieces for the Green and Recycling Show. I picked artwork pretty much basically it was a pretty loose subject. It was how you interpreted green and recycling. So there’s some in here that are all completely recycled. Some in here that are just recycled in a sense of the subject matter. Some are just green. I love how it all came together. There’s so much different stuff to look at. I get to see everything that comes in and decide on a great show. I don’t turn away a whole lot of people because the variety is what I love about the shows,” said Iverson.
There is something for everyone.
“There is a sculpture that is made out of wooded boxes and painted. We have recycled plastic. There is recycled canvasses, organic canvasses. There’s watercolor. It’s a big variety and that’s what I love about the show,” said Iverson.
If someone sees something they can’t live without, Teri is there to help.
“If they contact me, we can make arrangements. Please support local art. Everything in here, I believe, is for sale at this time. We can contact the artist. Our gallery gets a percentage the artist gets a percentage and everyone comes home happy,” said Iverson.
If you would like to inquire about anything in the show, you can contact Teri at 612-386-6619.
