Virtual Tour of Hopkins Center for the Arts’ Members Spotlight Gallery
The Hopkins Center for the Arts has a “members spotlight gallery” where three artists have displayed their work. The show features Kanika Babal, Patty Carmody Smith and Lisa Galbraith Heyl.
While the Hopkins Center for the Arts is closed to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions, visual arts manager Jim Clark gave CCX News a virtual tour.
Kanika Babal is a painter whose works feature oil on canvas.
“Kanika’s practice is inspired by the pursuit of feng shui,” said Clark.
Artists Patty Carmody Smith and Lisa Galbraith Heyl are both three-dimensional artists.
“Patty’s work is mixed media sculpture. She’s got recycled glass, acrylic paint and air drying clay,” said Clark. “Lisa’s work are woven vessels with hand-painted paper.”
Clark says all three of these artists’ pieces are brilliantly, brightly hued.
If you see something happens to catch your eye in the members spotlight you’re in luck. You can contact Jim Clark if you are interested in purchasing one of the pieces of artwork.
