Vikings Give Away Backpacks at Brooklyn Park’s Crazy Cajun
Members of the Minnesota Vikings visited the Crazy Cajun restaurant in Brooklyn Park on Tuesday. The visit was twofold: help kids in need and raise awareness about bullying.
Linval Joseph, Danielle Hunter, Kyle Rudolph and Shamar Stephen showed up to give away backpacks to kids. It was also part of Joseph’s mission to stamp out bullying.
Joseph says he was bullied as a youngster growing up in Florida and knows how much pain that can cause.
“The rough times were between fourth grade until about seventh grade,” Joseph said. “Just every day constant picking on me, picking on my mom, picking on my brother, picking on our living situation. It actually motivated me to be honest with you. I used a negative and turn it into a positive.”
The event took place at the Crazy Cajun because Joseph and some of his teammates eat there often.
