Union Hall Wants to Relocate to Brooklyn Park
The Minnesota Chapter of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers wants to build a new facility in Brooklyn Park. They would like to build on the land off West Broadway Avenue and Interstate Highway 694 in Brooklyn Park.
The electrical workers union has been located in northeast Minneapolis. In the proposed Brooklyn Park location, they’d like to eventually have 30 employees working at the site.
There are three vacant single-family homes on the property now. The property was the site of a proposed charter school this winter, but neighbors expressed concern over possible traffic.
