Topgolf Brooklyn Center Prepares to Fill 500 Job Openings
Topgolf Brooklyn Center plans to fill 500 jobs before they open in September. Officials from the Dallas, Texas-based company say prospective employees should prepare for an interview experience like no other.
“We’re not looking for resumes. We’re not looking for robots, we’re looking for personalities,” says Stephen Rubenstein, who is the director of operations for Topgolf Brooklyn Center.
Construction continues on the new 65,000-square-foot open-air, all-season facility. Once completed, the entertainment venue will include a restaurant, bars, and 102 climate controlled hitting bays.
Interviews for Topgolf Brooklyn Center will begin soon
Topgolf says it’s hiring process is intended to showcase its culture of fun and energy.
“We really create a fun atmosphere, and we focus on making sure that everyone has a good work-life balance,” says Rubenstein.
The interviews will begin July 30. The interview events will last two hours and involve as many as 200 people at one time.
The company will hire hourly employees for a variety of jobs that range from servers and cooks to bartenders and dishwashers. The company has already hired a management team and they are currently in training.
There is stiff competition in the Twin Cities for hourly employees. Employers like the new Hy-Vee under construction in Robbinsdale are also hiring a large number of hourly employees.
But Topgolf officials are not worried about filling the 500 spots. They tout their unique, one-of-a-kind company that offers a culture of growth and development as reasons why people will want to work for them.
The Topgolf hiring events run from July 30 – August 11 at Embassy Suites Hotel in Brooklyn Center.
Topgolf expects to open in September. The Topgolf in Brooklyn Center will be the company’s 46th location.
